Los integrantes del Jurado constituyen una de las instituciones que más prestigio otorga a una competencia internacional. De allí que su selección sea primordial y concluyente.

The members of the Jury are one of the institutions that grant most prestige to an international competition. Thus, their selection is essential and conclusive.

Contar con un maestro como Shlomo Mintz, que este año estará celebrando sus 50 años de carrera, como presidente del Jurado, es además de un honor, sin dudas, una garantía de reconocimiento. Las competencias internacionales más destacadas del violín, como el Concurso Internacional Reina Elisabeth en Bruselas, el International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition (Polonia) y el Concurso Tchaikovsky en Moscú, lo cuentan entre sus miembros por tratarse de una de las máximas figuras contemporáneas del violín.

Los demás integrantes del jurado del 2do Concurso Internacional Violín Buenos Aires 2012, también son verdaderos maestros, hacedores de escuelas violinísticas y virtuosos reconocidos en todo el mundo, como Cihat Askin (Turquía); solistas y profesores como Kimiko Nakazawa de Japón, Vera Tsu Wei Ling quien hace más de una década es profesora y tutora del Conservatorio Central de Beijing, y Virginie Robilliard de Francia.

A JURY OF OUTSTANDING INTERNATIONAL MAESTROS

The members of the Jury are one of the institutions that grant most prestige to an international competition. Thus, their selection is essential and conclusive.

Having Maestro Shlomo Mintz, who is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his career this year, as the president of the Jury is, besides a great honour, a sure guarantee of recognition. Being one of the top contemporary violin personalities, he is part of the best-known international violin competitions, like the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition in Brussels, the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition (Poland) and the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

The other members of the jury of the Second International Violin Competition Buenos Aires 2012 are also celebrated maestros, creators of violin schools and well-known virtuosos from all over the world, such as Cihat Askin (Turkey), soloists and professors like Kimiko Nakazawa (Japan), Vera Tsu Wei Ling (who has been a teacher and tutor at the Central Conservatory of Beijing for more than a decade) and Virginie Robilliard (France).

Amongst the jurors we can also find great pedagogues, such as Zakhar Bron, creator of his own violin teaching method, David Rusell, a teacher at the most important violin schools in the world, and David Cerone, founder, co-director and academic member of the Encore School of Strings; and the distinguished Argentine maestro Rafael Gintoli, also Artistic Director of the competition.
